UP is partner in rural development

Through DILC and the College of Social Work and Community Development, the University of the Philippines Diliman is committing to be part of the Educational Consortium for Rural Development, with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of Agrarian Reform, the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP), and the University of the Philippines on February 15, 2012. With DAP as lead school, the Consortium seeks to train movers and changers for rural development through its Master in Public Management (Major in Rural Development) Program beginning March 2012. DILC provides the learning management platform at ovle.upd.edu.ph and train Program faculty and students on its use. The Consortium includes DAP, University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, Xavier University, Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
